Visit The NSW New England, And Come Shooting With SSAA Glen Innes!

Glen Innes Loacation Map.png

Glen Innes and Emmaville are about 550 kilometres from Sydney and 500 kilometres from Brisbane. The drive from both major cities is however highly worthwhile, or alternately flights to Armidale or Inverell reduce the road trip to an hour or less.

The New England and Gwydir Highways intersect at Glen Innes, so visiting us from the north coast or northern inland NSW is also an easy and pleasant break away.

The New England Highlands of Northern NSW is a cool climate area generally over 1000 metres in elevation, and so the landscape is attractive and different from much of the rest of the state. Nearby are several National Parks of great beauty, some holding World Heritage status.

Glen Innes is a a rural town of a few thousand residents, but boasts two supermarkets, most services travellers need such as garages and banks and restaurants, and many interesting shops to entertain non-shooting visitors to our SSAA Glen Innes Branch. Emmaville is a small village, with two pubs, a service station, a caravan park and a swimming pool. The Minerals Museums, and the Old Court House are absolutely worth a visit when in town.
